Button Ribs |
Back to the Pork Index |
If you can find strips of button ribs (Chinese butchers often have them), this is ideal for them. This also works well with chicken wings or quail.
Combine garlic, sambal oelek, honey, sauce, sugar, and oil in bowl, add the ribs, stir well; cover, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
Pre-heat your oven to 450°F.
Place the ribs on a rack over a baking tray (lining the tray with parchment to save on the clean-up) and bake in the oven for 15 minutes, then decrease the temperature to 350°F and cook for a further 10–15 minutes until the ribs are crisp and tender.
These goe well with a bowl of steamed rice and a cucumber salad.
