Trim the steak and cut it into cubes.
Whisk together olive oil, white wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and fresh ground black pepper to make a marinade.
Marinate the beef cubes in a bowl or a bag in the fridge for an hour or so.
Wash the mushrooms and let them drain in a colander while the meat is marinating.
After an hour, add the mushrooms to the beef and marinate the steak and mushrooms together somewhere cool and out of the reach of pets for one hour longer.
If you're using wooden skewers, soak them in cold water for ar least 30 minutes.
When you're ready to cook, wipe the grill with a little oil and pre-heat it while you thread the meat and mushrooms onto your skewers.
Grill the kebabs, turning them once, til they're done as you like them.
Serve hot, with flatbread or rice, and a green salad.
