Refried Beans

Heat your fat or oil in a small skillet and cook the garlic until it's soft and brown on both sides, adding the scallions, cumin, and chili powder for the last 30 seconds, then mash the cloves with a fork.

Add the beans and cook them until they're heated through. If you're adding cold meat for the meal, heat it in with the beans.

Use the fork you've got out already or use a potato masher to crush half the beans, then squeeze a little lime juice over all.

Now you're ready to build your burrito, chimichanga, or whatever.
